EXHIBITION/LECTURE: Thursday Art Talk - The programme is dedicated to English speakers who live in Bratislava and would like to know more about Slovak visual art; and this time, the curator Lucia Gregorová explains on the gender issue of Jana Želibská's exhibition in a lecture called – She = He?
This is the second of two independent sessions at the Jana Želibská. No Touching exhibition is dedicated to the artist’s approach to the body. In Slovak visual art, she was the first artist with such an audacious and open interest in the erotic; the zone of contact between the genders. However, she always portrayed this indirectly and with a slight sense of irony and humour.
Starts: Feb 21, 19:00; Slovak National Gallery, Esterházy palace (2nd floor), Nám. Ľ. Štúra 4. Admission: €4.70. More information: lektori@sng.sk; 02/2047-6270; www.sng.sk.
