With the wide selection of performers on offer, it is hard to pick just a single – or a few – soloists: Olga Borodina-mezzosoprano, Andrea Vizvári-soprano, Oscar de la Torre-tenor, Audun Iversen-baritone, Dexter Kennedy-organ, Vadim Gluzman-violin, Bors Berezowski-piano, Pierre Amoyal-violin, Pavel Giliov-piano, Michal Sťahel-cello, Andrey Yaroshinsky-piano, Reinhold Friedrich-trumpet, Yura Lee-viola, Valery Sokolov-violin and Simon Trpćeski-piano.
Then there are many renowned orchestras scheduled: Russian Philharmonics, Konzerthausorchester Berlin, Monte Carlo Philharmonic Orchestra, Janáček Philharmonic Ostrava; Korean Symphony Orchestra, Norddeutscher Rundfunk orchestra-NDR Hamburg, Rotterdam Philharmonic and the host, Slovak Philharmonics; and famous conductors: Andrey Boreyko, Alexander Rahbari, Hun-Joung Lim, Boian Videnoff, Juraj Valčuha, Christian Macelaru, Ion Marin, Leoš Svárovský, and Emmanuel Villaume.
There will be also the joint performance of Slovak Sinfonietta Žilina with the Lúčnica folklore ensemble, an evening of Slovak pianists, a special Cello concert, and the New Talent competition for young musicians, so it is best to have a look and choose from the www.bhsfestival.sk website (the programme so far is only in Slovak); tickets for concerts taking place between September 25 and October 11 can be bought in the Reduta building of the Slovak Philharmonic, in E.
