New Slovak Film with English subtitles

AMONG the Slovak films currently being screened with English subtitles at the Lumière cinema club (formerly known as Charlie’s), at Špitálska 4 in Bratislava, is Zuzana Piussi’s Krehká identita / Fragile Identity. The film is a documentary that mixes several methods and genres, and will be screened on February 22 (17:00), 23 (16:00) and 24 (18:00). It focuses on the issue of national identity and “pseudo-patriotism”. It is the final part of the director’s political trilogy (following Disease of the Third Power, about the judiciary, and From Fico to Fico, about politics). Tickets cost €4.
