As 2018 closes we can all be grateful that the human race survived another year with Donald Trump as the president of the United States. That was no guarantee. God willing, we should make it through 2019 too, including the following events:

Jeremy Corbyn wins a general election in the United Kingdom.

What’s up with Brexit? Nobody knows, not even the current UK government. There is a growing call for a second referendum on whether the UK should stay in the EU. The chaos is enough to eventually bring down Theresa May’s government. When May’s Tory party tears itself apart in choosing a candidate for prime minister, and Corbyn wins the election easily. Unfortunately, he has no idea what to do about Brexit either.

Trump’s son and son-in-law go to jail.
