The Bratislava Business Centre says it will open on time on October 1.
The Bratislava Business Centre (BBC) will open its fourth and final section on October 1, said Marek Vrbovský of HB Reavis Group, the real estate consultant agency overseeing construction and leasing of the building.
The third section and the fourth section of the Plynárenská Street site are located in the same building and cover over 23,000 square metres. Combined with the first and second sections located in a different building, the BBC will offer a total of 45,000 square metres come October 1.
Vrbovský said that business centres are the wave of the future as more businesses move to higher technology and demand hi-tech offices. As proof, he pointed out that only 300 square metres have not been leased yet in the unfinished fourth section and added that HR Reavis is working on plans to open a new site in the vicinity of the current BBC.
"Bratislava has a problem with hi-tech spaces," Vrbovský said. "New companies have problems finding good offices in a good location with parking, air conditioning, phone lines and fax lines, and we are the only complex in Bratislava. Foreign companies starting business in Slovakia come to us a lot."
