The documentation was submitted by Minister of Construction and Regional Development Marián Janušek. National co-financing of each of the programs will cost the state budget approximately €8.41 million.

Slovakia will also ask for €71.5 million for each programme from the
European Regional Development Fund. Effective use of this funding should, according to the proposal, bring higher living standards and improved environmental infrastructure to territories lying on Slovakia’s borders, five of which border Hungary and two, Poland. It should also positively influence the employment rate, the development of education and the business environment.
