Kopecký, 28, won the trophy this year for the second time; in 2008, he was in the victorious Detroit team. “I will let Hossa do the hard work and lift the cup,” Kopecký said. “We received the Stanley Cup together, and we will celebrate it together. I experienced this two years ago and I am happy to see Marian enjoy [it too].” The event culminated on Thursday afternoon in Trenčín where the two met fans and the public. On Thursday evening, they were both planning to eat out of the cup – Hossa wanted to eat bryndza pies, and Kopecký tripe soup. On Saturday morning, the cup will be carried to Trenčín ice-hockey stadium where both athletes trained.
