THE CONSORTIUM of French company Vinci and Austrian A-way withdrew from the tender for the sale of 66-percent stakes for Bratislava and Košice airports, the SME daily wrote.
Four contestants remain in the tender.
The move is believed to be a reaction to the information that in the airport tenders there were two consortia, in which Austrian financial group Raiffeisen is involved. Submitting so-called double bids is forbidden.
Apart from Vinci and A-way, in which Raiffeisen has an indirect influence, the Raiffeisen Zentralbank is bidding for the airports in a consortium with Slovak group Penta and the Vienna Airport.
