Bratislava Book Festival: Book launch and discussion with Didier Fassin

June 1, at 15:00 in Rómerov dom (Zámočnícka 405).

Join a discussion on Moral Abdication, the new essay by French anthropologist and sociologist Didier Fassin, who explores how many Western governments and elites supported or remained silent during the destruction of Gaza. Philosopher Michal Lipták will speak with Fassin about the political and ethical implications of silencing voices calling for Palestinian rights.

The book examines the complicity in the devastation of Gaza’s homes, infrastructure, hospitals, schools, and civilian life. The talk will be held in English without translation.

The event takes place as part of the BRaK festival, which is held from May 29 until June 1.
