“We thank Poland for having helped us very promptly, when late on July 31, they reacted to our plea and found for Slovakia’s citizens places in the Polish airplane from Tripoli,” a ministry statement to SITA newswire on August 5 said.

Other Slovaks will be moved out this week to Italy. The Foreign Ministry knows about approximately two dozen Slovaks who have permanent residence in Libya. Apart from them, one more Slovak is filed in the official registration system who gave Libya as his ultimate destination.
