THE FOUR-STAR Lindner Hotel Gallery Central was added to the list of hotels in the Slovak capital in late May. The hotel is the third and final part of the Central development, comprising, in addition to the hotel, a shopping centre and an office building. The hotel is part of the German Lindner Hotels & Resorts hotel network, which has almost 40 hotels in eight European countries.
“Bratislava is our latest destination and we are convinced that this city has potential,” said Gerhard Mansbart, the hotel’s general manager. “Apart from tourists we want to focus especially on the foreign and local business clientele.”
Frank Lindner, who is responsible for new projects and development in the family business, said at a press conference marking the opening of the hotel that Lindner Hotels & Resorts, launched by his father, an architect, in 1973, operates hotels of various categories.
“We have business hotels, resorts, leisure parks, a stadium hotel, a hotel next to the zoo, just to mention a few,” said Lindner. “We are not a uniform hotel company.”
The hotel in Bratislava is the first hotel of the company that is part of a multipurpose development with a shopping centre, a wellness centre, an office building and a health clinic. They hope that the composition of this development will produce positive results.
The hotel offers 222 rooms, which makes it the third biggest hotel in Bratislava, according to Mansbart. It has also made use of its location in the centre of the city, and its 13th floor, at a height of almost 100 metres, offers panoramic views over the city, including the castle and the Small Carpathians. Hotel guests can use, free of charge, the 25-metre pool and the gym in the Golem wellness centre, which is part of the Central complex.
The whole complex was built as a ‘green’ project, and investments in the hotel amounted to €22 million, Martin Šramko from the Immocap group, the investor, said.
