Since she was a little girl, Klára Sekáč Kavická has been involved with horses.
And as soon as she started working in human resources, she longed to connect these two worlds: bringing horses into the education process, the development of people, and coaching. Her dream came true in April 2023.
“I needed to find a counterbalance to working in a corporate environment,” said Sekáč Kavická, who works as a people and inclusion partner at telecom company Orange, about her EquiVenture project. She and her colleague organise team-building activities and personal development involving horses.

As Sekáč Kavická admits, working with horses impacts much of her HR work.
“Horses are a wonderful reflection of your actions and most of what they do is a reaction to you and your behaviour,” said the laureate of the HRTalent 2023 award, granted by the Maxman Consultants company to young HR professionals. “After all, the topics we deal with in working with people and horses are very similar – respect, trust, the use of pressure, cooperation, etc. Reframing into a different context is often eye-opening.”
