HSBC Bank expands to Košice

HSBC Bank is opening a new branch in Košice as part of its nationwide expansion plan, the SITA newswire wrote on April 2.

HSBC Bank is opening a new branch in Košice as part of its nationwide expansion plan, the SITA newswire wrote on April 2.

The bank has been operating in Slovakia since mid-2005 with only a branch in Bratislava.

"Eastern Slovakia has big potential and there are many companies operating in this region we would like to cooperate with and which might benefit from the combination of our local experience and global network," said Patrik Mozola, head of HSBC corporate banking in Slovakia.

British-based HSBC Bank operates in 83 countries worldwide. Its Bratislava branch was entered into the corporate register in April 2005 and opened in mid-June of that year.
