Industrial output slows in 2001

INDUSTRIAL production figures for December 2001 were the worst for the whole year, showing a decrease of 0.7 per cent. The fall was the result of an 11.2 per cent decrease in raw material extraction and a 1.1 per cent decrease in manufacturing output.
