THE KOŠICE-based company Nová Polhora Invest plans to build a logistics-industrial park called Nová Polhora, which will be almost 40 hectares in size and located between Košice and Prešov, the SITA newswire wrote in late July.
“We plan to invest about €112 million in the construction of the park,” said project manager Pavol Cangár, adding that the company has secured financing from Slovak banks. The company estimates that, when finished, 1,250 people should find jobs in the park.
The company plans to launch construction of six halls and office buildings totalling 182,598 square metres in size next year. Parking for 492 cars will be part of the project too. Completion of the logistics-industrial park is projected for September 2015.
The investor is touting the location of the park – close to the highway connecting Košice and Prešov – as being one of its main advantages.
