INTERNET-based mBank registered more than 17,000 clients between last November 25, when it entered the Slovak market, and early March, the SITA newswire wrote.
Those clients have opened almost 27,000 savings and current accounts, with a total volume of Sk1.2 billion, and conducted nearly 50,000 transactions with a volume of Sk1.6 billion, data provided by the bank shows. The bank has issued over 17,000 debit cards for the accounts.
At the beginning of this year, mBank started selling mortgages. So far, it has processed over 100 applications, witha total value of Sk212 million.
The bank's website, which is its primary retail source, receives an average of 75,000 hits a month.
mBank is an electronic retail banking division of one of the largest Polish financial institutions, BRE Bank SA.
