Railway company insures its locomotives

ŽSSK Slovensko, which rail transport services, will pay a total of Sk133.9 million to insure its locomotives against breakdowns and damage.

ŽSSK Slovensko, which rail transport services, will pay a total of Sk133.9 million to insure its locomotives against breakdowns and damage.

Kooperatíva Poisťovňa won a tender to become the company's main insurer. Two other co-insurers were also selected: Allianz - Slovenská Poisťovňa and OBE Poisťovňa Košice.

The contract was signed on December 14, 2007 and covers trains in Slovakia as well as the Czech Republic, Poland, Austria, Hungary and Ukraine.
