A new place for coffee lovers will open in Bratislava in the autumn.
The Romanian coffee chain, 5 to go, was supposed have opened its first coffee shop in the Slovak capital around this time. In the end, they decided to postpone it by several months.
They are currently opening its first shops in Hungary.
“After a comprehensive analysis of the market and consumer behaviour, we are convinced that the 5 to go brand will be very well received in Slovakia,” 5 to go co-founder Lucian Bădilă said last October.
TV Markíza reports that people will find the coffee shop in a Bratislava building, but not in a shopping mall. Moreover, the chain plans to open up to 100 coffee shops across the country by 2028.
A World Coffee Portal research found that the Slovak brand coffee shop market comprises about 125 outlets, led by McCafé with 31 shops. The Slovak chain Café Dias, which is part of the Panta Rhei bookstores, and Germany’s Tchibo Kaffee Bar, are the next largest chains by outlets.
