Slovak scientists from the Biotech startup Glycanostics from Bratislava have invented a new diagnostic test for cancer: Giasay PROSTATE. It is currently limited to prostate cancer diagnosis, but there are plans to include other types soon.
Slovak startup Nexineo which is developing a virtualised computer has come up with a solution to the lack of computers in schools. Instead of a computer or laptop, each student has a miniature display unit on a monitor connected to a central server supplying it with power and data. The startup has won its first investment and is gradually starting to focus on Western European markets.

The Digitoo startup has developed an artificial junior accountant, meaning accountants no longer need to retype invoices. Instead, artificial intelligence reads the text on the invoice and is able to assign the correct codes to the invoice and its items.
Using funny memes and GIFs in questionnaires or personal messages, Slovak startup Culture-Board is helping increase employee engagement and create better company culture. It has also introduced a new platform, Feedbeo, which it believes has the functionalities to rival the Slovak platform Slido.
Košice-based startup Matsuko is developing an application to create holograms used to display the participants of video calls in a three-dimensional space. The company’s founders, Mária Virčíková and Matúš Kirchmayer, combined robotics and artificial intelligence to create the holograms.
