SLOVAKIA is one of the most risky countries in the world for investment, says the Slovak think tank Institute for Economic and Social Reform.
In a study which measured the opinions of 118 entrepreneurs in the areas of corporate law, legal processes, regulation and ethics, Slovakia received a score of 9.6 out of a possible 28 points. Higher scores indicated better ratings.
Legal processes received the lowest score, with 99 per cent of respondents reporting very negative feelings, particularly with the extreme slowness of the legal system. The area of corporate law received the highest score in Slovakia, at 3.3 out of a possible seven points.
