ABOUT two-thirds of Slovak households have a good sense of their monthly income and expenses and regularly monitor their budget while the other third do not bother to keep track of a budget in any way. These are main results of a survey conducted by the Factum Invenio agency for Provident Financial at the beginning of April among a sample of 1,075 Slovak respondents aged 15 and older. The survey also found that 7 percent of Slovak households are living on debt over the long term, the SITA newswire wrote.
“The results prove the well-known principle that people who have their budget under control can manage their income better and are in the red less frequently,” said Diana Priechodská Brodnianska, spokeswoman for Provident Financial.
