Top logistics hall opens in Lozorno

SCHNELLECKE Logistics, provider of logistics services for carmaker Volkswagen Slovakia, opened a modern logistics hall in Lozorno on October 5. The company has invested €3.5 million in its automated storage system. Of the 850 employees of Schnellecke Logistics, 220 work in the 26,300-square-metre facility, the SITA newswire informed.

“We are moving into new premises for the seventh time within 13 years,” said Nikolaus Külps, general director of Schnellecke Logistics.

The hall, which cost €13 million, is located in Westpoint Logistics Park in Lozorno, about 16 kilometres from the Volkswagen plant in Devínska Nová Ves, and was built by the developer PointPark Properties.

The Schnellecke group was launched in 1939 in Wolfsburg. It began to provide logistics services for Volkswagen in 1967. It entered the Slovak market in 1999.
