What were the most offered job positions in Slovakia last year?

Translation, interpretation on the lower end of offers.

With almost 60,000 job offers on the Profesia recruitment website, retail sector was the one seeking most people, a fifth of all offers, reports TASR newswire. On the other hand, there were only 200 offers for translation and interpretation. Even mining placed more offers, 270 specfifically.

There were more than 41,000 job offers in production and more than 33,000 in transport and logistics.

In total, 296,892 job offers were published on Profesia in 2024, the third highest number. However, it was still a 5.5 percent decrease year-on-year.

On average, 21 people responded to a vacancy, the second highest number in history of the website.

The average salary offered was €1,490, which was €70 more year-on-year. Top management vacancies offered the most, €2,400 on average, followed by IT sector with salaries around €2,200 on average. On the other hand, textile industry offered the lowest salaries of slightly above €1,000 on average.

From the point of view of job seekers, the greatest interest was in administration last year, with an average of 42 responses to one offer, followed by marketing and PR with 41 reponses to one offer. On the contrary, the least interest garnered the offers in electrical engineering and energy sectors, with an average of 7.
