A bridge connecting Moravian Mikulčice and Slovak Kopčany over the Morava River has opened.
The construction of the bridge started in September 2018 as a cooperation between the Trnava self-governing region and the Juhomoravský region.
The bridge is 143-metres long and connects paths for pedestrians and cyclists. On the Czech side, it connects Slavic fortification in Mikulčice with the existing infrastructure of a forest path leading to the bridge.
There is a brand new infrastructure on the Slovak side. Its has a cycling route and pavement for pedestrians that connects the areas near the river with the village of Kopčany.
