AUSTRIAN documentary, feature, digital and experimental films will be showing at the audio-visual centre of contemporary culture A4-Zero Space in Bratislava throughout 2005. Cinem.AT, as the series is known, will run throughout 2005.
According to the organizers, Austrian documentaries have made a huge impact on world cinema in the last few years, and the experimental film has a long tradition in Austria.
The Cinem.AT project will also feature the winning films of the Ars Electronica festival, which functions as a link between art and new technologies.
There will be a new movie shown each month. January has seen the screening of Zur Lage by four of the most significant Austrian documentary filmmakers: Barbara Albert, Michael Galwogger, Ulrich Seidl, and Michael Sturminger.
Among screenings scheduled are Megacities, by Michael Glawogger (February 16); Across the Border, a co-production of five Central European filmmakers (March 16), Prix Ars Electronica (April 20), and Zoom by Ulrich Seidl (May).
The A4-Zero Space is situated at SNP Square 12, Bratislava. Check www.A4.sk for the latest information.
