Betliar museum looks for Empress Sissi lookalike

THE SLOVAK National Museum’s (SNM’s) venue Betliar is searching for a lookalike of the Austrian Empress Elisabeth nicknamed Sissi, to perform in the accompanying events to the summer exhibition focused on this popular historical personality.

“Her Majesty the Queen” is the name of the exhibition to open in the summer season in the Betliar mansion, located in a big historical park in south-eastern Slovakia, close to the town of Rožňava.

SNM Betliar opened a call for women who think they resemble Sissi to apply for a casting until the end of February, but they have to fulfil the following conditions: be aged between 20 and 35, with a slim waist, about 170 centimeters tall, with dark and long hair, but also a nice demeanour and intelligent, polite manners, with knowledge of German and Hungarian languages.

The museum will invite those who fulfil the criteria for the casting, with the jury composed of fashion designer Boris Hanečka, photographer Jakub Gulyás, actress Alena Ďuránová and head of SNM - Museum Betliar, Július Barczi.

The winner will become the face of the accompanying events for the exhibition.
