Never would I have thought that I would ever stand in front of all those people as host of a Poetry Slam.
After the night I said to myself - “Let's do this again!”
“I’m very happy to experience the very first English Poetry Slam in Bratislava ”,
“A great, unique project. Can't wait to be back.”,
“Very nice and inspiring show. Hope there is more to come.”
Those are just some of the great responses we received as a feedback for the first Poetry Slam night and I can only approve them from my viewpoint.
The audience was thrilled with energy, ready to scream, clap and even stand up for their favourite poets. It was visible that the words from our artists ignited a fire in the listeners, a fire
which showed a great, positive response towards their source of inspiration.
The source of their inspiration, the poets, were sparkling with cheerfulness and deep focus, when one of their colleagues was on stage. Surely many of them were nervous, as it was the first time for many. However, the artists showed us their courage and passion when they gripped the microphone and did what they could do best, performing their stories.
After every performance they high-fived and hugged each other and showed all of us, it is more than a competition - What counts is acting together as a community of artists.
With following events and new opportunities, Fountain Poetry wants to strengthen those community bonds and give even further types of artists, musicians, illustrators or photographers
the chance to present their passions.
There is more to come for Bratislava and entire Slovakia.
For now, one may mark down the 3rd of February in their agenda and visit the Inkwell Poetry Slam at Kalab by Fountain Poetry and be a part of the unique experience.
As the Motto tells:
“We give people a stage.”
