Agnieszka Holland's films in English
Polish director Agnieszka Holland comes to Bratislava to present nine of her films May 24 to 27. Three of the films will be shown in English: Total Eclipse, a film depicting the fates of two poets and staring Leondardo Di Caprio (May 25); The Third Miracle, the tale of a statue which cries healing tears of blood (May 26); and Washington Square, the story of a rich farmer's daughter faced with a decision that will alter her life (May 27). Bratislava Women's club exhibition

Austrian Culture Forum lecture
Helmuth Furch from Vienna will give a lecture entitled The Emperors' Stone on a precious marble that is mined in the Austrian region of Kaisersteinbruch. French Institute concert and exhibitions

Social Centre in Piešťany

Bratislava Town Gallery
Jan and Meda Mládek's collection of František Kupka and Otto Gutfreund's paintings, which was first displayed in Washington and other cities around the world, comes to Bratislava. A graphic painter and illustrator (1871-1957), Kupka is one of the founders of abstract art. The exhibition runs daily except Mon 10:00-18:00 till June 10, at Pálffy Palace on Panská 19.
