Sweet concert in Banská Bystrica

The famous 70s british rock band The Sweet will hold a live concert on Wednesday, June 20, in the central Slovak city of Banská Bystrica. The band's four musicians - guitarist Andy Scott, bass player Jeff Brown, drummer Bruce Bisland and keyboard player Steve Grant - will take the stage at 19:00 at the Park Kultúry a Oddychu (Culture and Leisure Park) on Lazovná street, and will be joined by the Czech folk band ETC and Vladimír Mišík, the Slovak Dereš band and Cecilia Weirdinary. Fairytale show at Bojnice Castle

Festival organisers at Bojnice castle in western Slovakia invite you to a theatrical performance showing the story of a princess whose pride has been suppressed by true love. The 90 minute show snakes throughout the castle and is performed in Slovak, although foreign visitors can ask for a translator at the castle entrance. The shows, staged from June 22 to 24, begin every 10 minutes between 9:00 and 18:00. Tickets cost 50-100 Sk. Austrian Culture Forum exhibition

Goethe Institute photo exhibition

French Institute exhibitions

French singer Denis Dheyem will sing with Slovak Andrea Zimányová during the Music Holiday concert at 19:00 on Tuesday, June 19 at Dom Kultúry Ovsište (Culture House Ovsište) in Petržalka, and at 19:30 on Thursday, June 21 on the Bratislava Main Square (Hlavné námestie). Tel: 5934 7777.
The French theatre troupe Petit Monsieur will perform its comedy En dérangement (ou quelques variotions sans paroles sur la cabine téléphonique) - Out of order (or several wordless variations about the telephone booth) - of a man fighting with a telephone booth that refuses to open. Une histoire de la bande dessinée en France (The History of Comics in France) presents various forms of comic strips and the changes they have undergone in French history.
