BCC throws Christmas Party to honour donors

The British Chamber of Commerce is holding its second annual Christmas Party for members and guests on December 8. The Chamber will use the event to thank 14 of its members for their generous support of an orphanage in Bernolákovo, including the main sponsor of the project, Deloitte & Touche.

International Women's Club holds children's Christmas party

The International Women's Club of Bratislava (IWCB) continues its Christmas activities with a Children's Christmas Party at Bibiana House (Panská 41 in Bratislava's Old Town) on December 10 between 15:30 and 18:00. Children and their parents are invited to create Christmas handicrafts, to decorate the Christmas tree and meet Santa. The programme also includes a puppet show and food and drinks for the little ones. Entrance fee is 100 Slovak crowns per child, while children under two get in free. 450 celebrate Thanksgiving with AmCham

A record 450 diners, including Prime Minister Mikuláš Dzurinda, attended the American Chamber of Commerce's sixth annual Thanksgiving Gala on Friday, November 26, at the PKO assembly hall. Forty turkeys were served up for the event, which was also attended by Deputy Prime Minister Ivan Mikloš, Interior Minister Ladislav Pittner, former Slovak President Michal Kováč, and US Chargé d'Affaires Douglas Hengel.
In his opening speech, AmCham President Kevin Connor announced that this year's annual Thanksgiving charity fundraising drive had raised 400,000 Sk ($10,000) to be donated to the Union of the Sight Impaired, the Bratislava Orphanage and the Chance for Every Child Foundation.
