Western SLOVAKIA Bratislava EXHIBITION: WORKS BY Patrik Illo, an outstanding glass designer, are on show at Bratislava’s Slovak Design Centre until April 8. The award-winning artist, known for his ability to find beauty in pleasantly simple forms and details, has cooperated with the famous Lednické Rovne glassworks and also with various companies in Poland and the Czech Republic. All visitors to the display will be entered into a draw to win an original set of glassware. The exhibition, entitled Patrik Illo for in Rona +, can be seen at the Satelit Exhibition Hall at Dobrovičova 3 daily, except Mondays, from 13:00 to 18:00. No admission is charged. Žiar nad HronomCONCERT: THE CENTRAL Slovak city of Žiar nad Hronom will host Katrien Verbeeck, the famous Belgian singer known as Kate Ryan on March 21. The 28-year-old blonde, who started singing in 2001 and enjoyed an immediate success, will present to the Slovak audience her most popular hits such as Désenchantée, Ella Elle L’A, Voyage Voyage, Only If I and Like I Love You. She will be supported during the concert by Mária Čírová, a promising Slovak singer. The show will be held at the Žiar nad Hronom City Culture Centre (SNP Square 19), starting at 20:00.
