Bratislava MUSIC: HAYDN and his contemporaries are the focus of this year’s edition of the Early Music Days, which are being held at different concert halls in Bratislava. Until June 12, classical music lovers will have the opportunity of listening to famous melodies by noted 18th century composers, performed mostly by Slovak, Czech, Hungarian and Austrian soloists and orchestras. The highlight is a concert by the Hungarian Purcell Choir and Orfeo Orchestra that will take place at St. Martin’s Cathedral on June 5, at 20:00. Tickets cost between €3 and €6. CELEBRATION: AquaPhone – An unusual happening organised to remind folks of past times when no bridge linked Štúrovo with Esztergom and people could not see easily their friends and relatives. EXHIBITION:THE HOUSE of Photography in Liptovský Mikuláš is housing an exhibition titled Zone: Periphery by three young contemporary authors, Petra Bošanská, Jana Hojstričová and Silvia Saparová. This collection of photographs, depicting everyday reality in an innovative way, was prepared in cooperation with the Academy of Performing Arts in Bratislava as part of the 13th Summer Photo-School festival.
