Rimavská Sobota

EXHIBITION: THE GEMER-Malohont Museum in Rimavská Sobota offers a presentation of modern-era pottery found in an abandoned well in the town. It consists primarily of table pottery like jars, mugs, glasses, and kitchen pots. The colours used for making this particular kind of pottery were common between the 13th and 20th centuries but since the well was used only in the 17th and 18th centuries, this is probably the age of the artefacts. The pottery has become “the article of the month” at the museum and can be seen until the end of June and then at occasional exhibitions in the future.
