FILM FESTIVAL: SEVEN Films of Akira Kurosawa – This film festival, marking the 100th anniversary of the birth of the great Japanese director, brings a range of his films to the Mladosť cinema in Hviezdoslavovo Square in Bratislava. Between February 28 and March 2 movies such as Stray Dog (Nora inu), Heaven and Hell (Tengoku to jigoku) and Kurosawa’s masterpiece Rashomon will be screened. EXHIBITION: Dievča pre všetko / The Girl for Everything – A group of art students were tasked with making a universal vessel: a ‘Gofer’, or Girl for Everything. Each came up with a different response: P. Ďuriš, K. Korbeličová, D. Popolitova (Estonia), J. Gabriš, L. Regasková, M. Borkowska (Poland), F. Plačko, and Š. Strapko made all kinds of items, from a girl’s body to a classical urine vessel.
