OPERETTA: THE COMIC operetta The Bat / Netopier by “master of waltz” Johann Strauss is a masterpiece of the genre and a common element in companies’ repertoires. It is demanding for performers – from a dramatic as well as musical point of view – and rewarding for audiences. The Slovak National Theatre (SND) premiered The Bat last New Year’s Eve after a ten-year break, and will stage it again on February 21 at 19:00 in the SND new building, Pribinova 17 in Bratislava. Tickets cost €10 to €35 and can be purchased through www.snd.sk.
