CONCERT: THE HOPE Gospel Singers’ concert on April 30, at 19:00 at the Ateliér Babylon in SNP Square 14 Bratislava, will feature famous local jazzman Peter Lipa together with musicians Pavol Bodnár (piano), Juraj Gregorík (bass) and Štefan Bugala (drums). The vocal-instrumental ensemble The Hope Gospel Singers and Band, led by Iveta Viskupová, perform not just gospels but also vocal jazz arrangements. FESTIVAL:THE AQUILA falconry troupe from Bojnice presents, in cooperation with the Locus historical troupe and the Slovak National Museum, the 20th International Festival of Ghosts and Spirits, which includes a fire show and a demonstration of a witch hunt, on May 1-5 (as well as the weekends of May 12-13 and 19-20). Pagans believed that on the night of April 30, witches and supernatural forces gained special, magic powers. The show will take place in the open-air amphitheatre by Bojnice Castle from 9:00-18:00. EXHIBITION: Sivá zóna / Grey Zone – Slovak artist Pavla Sceranková, along with Hungarian and Romanian artists Péter Puklus and Mihut Boscu, respectively, attempt to map the “borderline, an intermedial situation in which things cannot be clearly defined”, curator Zita Sárvári said. Their works include art objects, photographs and videos.
