CONCERT: TRIBUTE to Claudio Abbado is a concert dedicated to this recently deceased Italian conductor who maintained a close relationship with Slovakia. The concert on April 1, at 18:00 in the Mirror Hall of the Primate‘s Palace in Bratislava will present Italian musicians Alessandro Carbonare (clarinet), Elisa Papandrea (violin) and Monaldo Braconi (piano) performing the works of Francis Poulenc, Francesco Maggio (Fuori Fuoco, dedicated to Abbado), Gershwin/Robert Russel Bennet, Antonio Pasculli, Rossini, Anton Giuli Priolo and Reiner Kuttenberg. The evening will include a speech by Slovak musicologist Adrián Rajter. Admission is free. More information can be found at www.citylife.sk.

Dance competition:ŠARIŠSKÝ Pohár – The Šariš Cup is an international ballroom dance competition, the 42nd year of which takes place on April 5 from 9:00 on, in the historical hall of the local cultural centre PKO Čierny Havran in Hlavná 50 in Prešov. In cooperation with the Soul dance studio, the event will show standard and Latin-American dances, and will culminate in an evening gala. Tickets cost €4-€8 and can be bought on the site.

SKATING WORKSHOP: Skejtový Workshop – The ska-ting workshop is meant for boys and girls, younger and older, and also for beginners.
