FESTIVAL: OPEN Jazz Fest – The open-air weekend festival of jazz at Zelená Voda in Nové Mesto nad Váhom offers a rich list of performers on July 18 and 19, including Mark Whitfield (US) with AMC Trio (SK), Sisa Michalidesová (SK), Jowee Omicil (Haiti), Joanna Kucharczyk (PL) Quartet and a band formed specifically for this event, the V4 European Quintet, featuring Ondřej Štveráček on sax (CZ), Piotr Wojtasik on trumpet (PL), Kálmán Oláh on keyboards (HU), Marián Ševčík on drums (SK), and Tomáš Baroš on bass (CZ).

CLASSICAL MUSIC: Kremni-cký Hradný Organ / Kremnica Castle Organ – The 18th year of the festival that lures visitors to the St Catherine Church in Kremnica Castle will feature István Nagy (Parish Church Kolárovo, SK) in this first concert, followed next Sundays by Balázs Szabó (HU), Gianluca Libertucci (Vatican, IT), Josef Kšica (St Vitus Cathedral, Prague, CZ), the Adoremus Choir (SK) led by Dušan Bill and accompanied by Mária Budáčová on organ, and Gabriele Marinoni (IT).
