EXHIBITION: The centre for Folk Art Production, ÚĽUV, in its exhibition and shopping space in SNP Square 12 in downtown Bratislava, is featuring an exposition called ‘Spiš’. Spiš is an eastern-Slovak region, and the third to be presented by ÚĽUV (after Gemer and Liptov) for its folk clothing, handicrafts, local delicacies and more. All works of folk art stem from the ÚĽUV Museum’s collections. The exposition can be seen Mondays through Fridays between 10:30 and 18:00 until October 24. CLASSICAL MUSIC: Medzinárodná Bratislava / International Bratislava – The series of concerts presenting foreign artists and performers this time brings the Berkshire Youth Orchestra from the UK, commemorating the start of the First World War, with works by British composer George Butterworth, who wrote during the war and died as young officer in the Battle of Somme. Other composers include Aram Khachaturian, Edward Elgar and Georges Bizet.

EXHIBITION: Slovensko – Krajina, v ktorej sa Dá Žiť/ Slovakia - A Country You Can Live In – This exhibition of two photographers, Olja Triaška-Stefanovič and Illah van Oijen, shows the stories of two artists who were born and partially raised in other countries (Stefanovič in Serbia, van Oijen in the Netherlands), but then decided to live in Slovakia.

HIP-HOP: Outbreak Europe – This global hip-hop festival takes place in a single country outside the US, in Slovakia.
