BEERFEST:STAROMESTSKÝ Beerfest – The Old Town Beer festival marks the return of the tradition of beer in the capital. The event’s third year will take place on September 26 and 27 in Hviezdoslavovo Square in downtown Bratislava. In addition to 80 brands and types of beer, local delicacies that pair well with beer will also be on offer, including a “beer goulash”, as well as live performances by Slovak rock and pop bands. THEATRE: Gateway – Beijing’s Contemporary Dragon Kung-Fu Dance is a kung fu ensemble, established in 2006 at the initiative of actor and martial arts master Jackie Chan. It also includes members of the famous Shaolin Kungfu Monk Corps, the Chinese Shenwu Cultural Communication Company and more. Opening the Gateway is a mystical act, exploring unknown worlds. The story is also a metaphor for life: by opening the Gate, we intuitively embark on a unique path of growth. Choreographed and directed by Liu Lu.

DOG EVENT/CHARITY: Nájdite sa - Find Yourselves - The popular event in which animal rescue centres offer dogs and cats for adoption will be this time hosted by Matúš Krnčok of Radio Europa, attended by people form showbiz, Kristína Farkašová, Zuzana Vačková, Jakub Petraník, Yxo from the Hex band, Lucia Hablovičová and Hanka Gallová, Ivica Sláviková - and also some of the animals which had rpeviously adopted by visitors and are now enjoying their happy new homes.

MODERN DANCE: Soliloquy – This dance-theatre performance is a brief staging of the last chapter of James Joyce’s classic novel Ulysses, focused on the thoughts of concert singer Molly Bloom, the wife of advertising manager Leopold Bloom. MUSEUM/EXHIBITION: The Slovak National Museum (SNM) celebrates its 120th anniversary with an exhibition presenting the oldest and rarest items it acquired over this period of time, including the hat of M.R. FESTIVAL: THE BÁBKARSKÁ Bystrica international puppet festival strives to show the full potential of this genre, and is divided into two sections: the First Impact (for children) and the Second Impact (for adults), as offered by Slovak and foreign puppet troupes, including, for the first time, one from Portugal. The festival is also comprised of a series of accompanying events, and the initiative Načo Festival? / Festival – What for? as part of the Art – What for? movement.
