EXHIBITION: TUTANCHAMON - Jeho hrobka a poklady / Tutankhamun – His Tomb and Treasures is an exhibition that offers accurate replicas of artefacts from the tomb of the pharaoh in a way closest to the form in which the tomb’s discoverer, Howard Carter, found it almost 100 years ago. There are no display cases, which contributes to the authentic atmosphere. FESTIVAL: DNI tanca pre vás / Days of Dance for You is the education part of the festival of contemporary dance (Dni tanca / Days of Dance) organised by the Divadlo štúdio tanca / Theatre Studio of Dance originally annually and from this year biennially. Dni tanca pre vás should boost the continuity and help educate students of conservatories and secondary performing art schools by offering workshops, performances of DŠT, lectures and analyses. OPERETTA: Emmerich Kál-mán - Grófka Marica – Countess Marica (or Gräfin Mariza, in German) is the first opere-tta to be staged at the State Theatre Košice after more than six years, and this title, one of the most popular works of Hungarian composer Kál-mán, returns after 40 years; it is conducted by Igor Dohovič and directed by Czech Dagmar Hlubková.

CLASSICAL MUSIC FEST: Musica Nobilis – The 19th year of the week of classical music, an international music festival brings this genre to eight eastern-Slovak towns. On October 13, the chamber ensemble ALEA (Boris Lenko – accordion, Ján Krigovský – double bass, Stano Palúch – violin, Daniel Buranovský – piano) will have as guest baritone Martin Babjak. On October 14, the works for violin and guitar by Niccolo Paganini and Mauro Giuliani will be played by Juraj Tomka and Martin Krajčo; and the same concert will be repeated the next day in a historical building in Levoča. On October 16, the Marian Church in Kežmarok will resound with the music of the Czech quartet Graffovo kvarteto (Štěpán Graffe, Lukáš Bednařík-violins, Lukáš Cybulski-viola and Michal Hreňo-cello) playing the works of Czech composers Josef Suk, Bohuslav Martinú and Antonín Dvořák. In Spišské Vlachy on October 17, three members of the Slovak Philharmonic – flutist Tomáš Janošík, violinist Juraj Sťahel and cellist Boris Bohó will perform Baroque and Classicist compositions. On October 18, a vocal-instrumental concert in Spišská Nová Ves will present the Slovak Philharmonic, the Slovak philharmonic Choir (led by Jozef Chabroň), and soloists: soprano Andrea Vizvári and tenor Otokar Klein performing overtures, arias and choirs from famous operas, as conducted by Leoš Svárovský.
