The chamber orchestra of Al-Nour Wal Amal association consists of blind and visually impaired female musicians. The Al-Nour Wal Amal association, founded in 1954, is an NGO offering education to visually impaired girls.
On Friday, September 9, its chamber orchestra comes to Slovak capital to play works of old Western classical-, as well as Egyptian modern classical music: by G. A. Rossini, A. A. Eleid, R. Garrana, J. Brahms, G. Verdi, G. P. Reverberi (Swiss Medley, composed for this occasion), P. Tchaikovski, A. Khachaturian, W.A. Mozart, R. Dawood, A. Khairat, B. Bartók, A. Dvořák, G. Bizet, and M. Theodorakis. Conductor is Dr. Ali Osman.
The concert, organised by the Egyptian Embassy to Slovakia and BKIS, takes place in City Theatre of P. O. Hviezdoslav (DPOH) at 19:00 and admission is free. Music lovers are invited to support the Egyptian musicians and enjoy their music.
