EXOTIC Night II, a night of traditional and modern Latin American, Caribbean, and Indian dances, starts at 20:00 on March 20 at the Ružinov House of Culture. During the first year, two Slovak flamenco and exotic-dance groups, Tropical (pictured) and Latino Flash, prepared a joint show. Thanks to its success they have decided to perform together this time as well. The event's guests, dancers from Columbia and Cuba, will perform their traditional dances. Children's groups Niňos Del Tropical and Latinito will hold their show at 18:00, before the event's official start. Ružinov House of Culture is located at Ružinovská 28. CENTRAL SLOVAKIA
SWISS Child/Slovak Man is an exhibition that takes place in Žilina and displays paintings by the Slovak artist Patrik Kovačovský. The painter was the first Slovak to receive the Oskár Čepan Award, given to young artists, in 1996. The award enabled him to spend three months studying in California and in New York. Born in 1970, the artist's work has gone through many phases during his ten-year career and his coin designs have been awarded 11 National Bank of Slovakia Awards. Kovačovský also creates sculptures and videos. The exhibition runs at the Považská galéria umenia (Považská Art Gallery) at Štefánikova 2 in Žilina until April 18.
