EASTERN SLOVAKIA

ON THE OCCASION of the launch of an online photobank, a photography exhibition recently opened in Prešov. The FotoAgent company launched the website www.fotoagent.sk last May. The database of photos in electronic form currently offers over 4,000 pictures, depicting particular sites in Slovakia, its natural beauties, as well as current events. About 100 photos are added to the database weekly. FotoAgent hopes that the database will help them to fill in a gap in the market by making pictures to be used for promotion, tourism, news, and artistic work more easily accessible. Twenty photographers from Slovakia, the Czech Republic, and Russia each contributed more than 150 photos to the online database. The display of the hard copies of the photographs takes place at the Atrium Pension, at Floriánova 4, Prešov. It is open daily until September 30. Tel: 0903/900-986.photo: www.fotoagent.sk
