A CONCERT by the legendary temperamental Cuban performer Ibrahim Ferrer will be the highlight of the autumn music scene in Slovakia. The voice and the heart of the cult Cuban project, Buena Vista Social Club, can be heard at a concert in Incheba Hall on October 3 at 20:00. The performance is part of his tour to promote his latest CD, Buenos Hermanos, which bagged him a Grammy Award this year. It is said that Ferrer is probably the last of the great singers of bolero, a musical genre born in Cuba in the 19th century out of the Cuban "canción", or song. Ferrer, now in his 70s, will take to the stage accompanied by a 16-piece band. Incheba Hall is at Viedenská cesta 3-7. Tickets cost from Sk790 to Sk1,690.
