GERHARD Richter: Survey is an international touring exhibition showing work selected by the artist himself. Comprising 27 major pieces, the show offers insights into all of Richter's creative phases: from his 1960s photo paintings to his abstract paintings of the 1980s and 1990s. The exhibition can therefore be taken as a self-portrait of the artist, who is one of Germany's most renowned artists. Using various motifs, stylistic approaches and artistic-historical references, Richter focuses in the end on the act of painting itself. The exhibition is open daily except Mondays between 11:00-18:00 until January 30. Tickets cost Sk80. The works are displayed in the Galéria mesta Bratislavy (Bratislava City Gallery) in Mirbach Palace, Františkánske námestie 11.
