BRATISLAVA
THE CHANGES of Railway exhibition marks the 90th anniversary of the launch of a local electrical railway connecting Bratislava and Vienna. In the past, the rail journey was popular with people travelling to enjoy their Sunday lunch or tea in the respective capitals. Exhibited items include models of the railway, engines and wagons as well as original railway lamps, uniforms, and a machine for cutting rails. The exhibition runs at the Bratislava City Museum, Primaciálne námestie 3, until January 30. It is open Tuesday to Friday between 10:00 and 17:00 and Saturday and Sunday between 11:00 and 18:00. SCIENTIFIC Toys is an interactive exhibition of toys and simple physical experiments. More than 110 toys, games and puzzles from 20 countries are on display. People are invited to explore physical laws and phenomena through experiments. One of the aims of the show is to make toys more popular in education. In its 10th year, the exhibition is open daily except Monday from 9:00 to 16:00 at the SNP Museum at Kapitulská 23 in Banská Bystrica until February 27. Tickets cost Sk10.
