DANIEL Brunovský, brother of renowned Slovak graphic artist Albín Brunovský, presents works he created over the last decade as part of the Graphic Works 1996-2005 exhibition. They include cycles of Biblical Motives, Searching for Eden, the Dream of Don Quixote, Hell and Heaven and the Art of Loving. Daniel Brunovský says that his style is a family style since his works resemble those of his more famous brother to a certain extent. The exhibition takes place at Ardan Gallery, Dobrovičova 7. It is open Tuesday to Friday from 10:00 to 18:00 and on Sunday from 10:00 to 16:00 until April 8. Admission is free. For more information call 0905/443-106.

EASTERN SLOVAKIA

THE SLOVAK Agricultural Museum in Nitra is opening an exhibition dedicated to traditional Easter folk customs, Colourful Days of Easter. During the March 22 opening at 10:00, children's folk ensemble Nitranček will demonstrate traditional spring customs and Easter plays. Visitors can learn Easter egg decoration and how to braid a whip. In the past, girls used to present decorated eggs to boys after the boys whipped them with wicker whips and doused them with water. Other activities include decorating honey cakes and making wire ornaments. Traditional folk decorations will also be on sale. The exhibition is open Tuesday to Saturday between 10:00 and 15:00, and on Sunday between 13:00 and 16:00. Tickets cost Sk40 and Sk20. For more information call 037/6572-553.
