BRATISLAVA City Gallery presents works by Ján Vasilko, the winner of the 10th annual Slovak contest for contemporary young artists, the Oskár Čepan Prize, and the three other finalists until September 4. The jury granted the prize to the 26-year-old painter for his creative treatment of the history of arts with his ironic comments on geopolitics and social facts. While Vasilko presents paintings, the remaining finalists present work in new media: Radovan Čerevka with video-films, Radim Labuda with video-installations, and Ingrid Višňovská with a light-sound installation. The gallery's Pálffy Palace is open daily Tuesdays to Sundays 11:00-18:00. Tel: 02/5443-1556.
