LAMAČ, a district of Bratislava, celebrates the feast day of Rozália, the patroness of St Rozália church. The Feast of Rozália opens Friday, September 2 at 16:00 on Malokarpatské námestie, the event's main venue. Over the three-day event, the town will offer visitors a Friday jamboree, a Saturday market and a ceremonial holy mass on Sunday, followed by folk and pop performances. OUTSIDE THE CAPITAL
FEMAN, a European cultural festival of nations and nationalities, brings the European cultural medley into towns and villages of Eastern Slovakia. The 6th annual event starts August 30, featuring a blend of musicians, dancers and artists from almost 20 European countries. The mostly open-air performances will take place the streets of Košice and in surrounding villages through September 4. The concluding gala, Culture Without Borders: Concert for Srebrenica, will present the festival's best performances on September 3 at 19:00 in Dom umenia (the House of Arts) in Košice.
